CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, August 8, 2012) – Six current LA Galaxy players, including captain Landon Donovan, and LA Galaxy legends Mauricio Cienfuegos and Chris Klein, will take eight young students back-to-school shopping on Friday, August 10. In partnership with Macy’s Culver City, the Galaxy are taking students from Children’s Institute, which is supported by Casa Herbalife, and Union Rescue Mission, which is supported by the LA Galaxy Foundation, shopping in order to prepare them for another school year.

Joining Donovan, Cienfuegos and Klein will be current Galaxy players Todd Dunivant, Juninho, Brian Perk, Jose Villarreal and Kenney Walker.

Each child will receive a $150 gift card from Macy’s and get to shop for new clothes with one of the Galaxy players ahead of the start of the new school year.

WHO:  LA Galaxy players Landon Donovan, Todd Dunivant, Juninho, Brian Perk, Jose Villarreal and Kenney Walker as well as former Galaxy players Mauricio Cienfuegos and Chris Klein.

WHAT:  Back-to-school shopping with eight local students from Children’s Institute and Union Rescue Mission.
